I dream about you every night now. I relive our best and worst times and the ending is always happy. I wake up missing you. I create an ocean of tears just thinking about your smile, And how much I miss making it appear. You deserve all of the happiness in the world, but it’s creating a hole inside me because I’m not the reason for the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.

love is looking forward to talking to someone everyday, spending time with them every chance you get, little things reminding you of them-whether it’s a rock that’s eerily similar to their eyes or a voice that makes you straighten and turn your head around, only to realize it didn’t have quite the same smoothness, akin to sweet honey and angel bells. love is sacrifice, not being selfish for once in your life. love is knowing that the other person has flaws and not loving them in spite of them, but loving the entire person those flaws help create. love is thinking they’re the coolest person in the world whether they’re holding your hand and smiling in the sun at 2pm or sitting on the floor sobbing in your arms at 2am. love is realizing that their past does not define who they are, and listening with an open heart to what they’ve been through.
